The Autumn Seed Collection
10 hand-picked seed varieties
Autumn is the cottage gardener's secret season. While the borders are quietly winding down, the most romantic work of the year begins — and this collection is your head start on next summer's display.
Inside you'll find ten hardy annuals chosen to be sown now and overwintered, for stronger, earlier and more abundant flowering than a spring sowing could ever give. There's the frothy white lace of Orlaya grandiflora, the smoky blue-grey foliage and nodding, bee-loved bracts of Cerinthe, and the quiet drama of Antirrhinum 'Night & Day', its deep crimson-black throat lit by a flash of white. Larkspur 'Giant Imperial' brings the tall cottage spires, while Calendula 'Sherbet Fizz' softens it all with antique peach and buff tones.
The full collection:
- Orlaya grandiflora (white lace flower)
- Antirrhinum 'Night & Day'
- Nigella hispanica (Spanish love-in-a-mist)
- Corncockle 'Bianca'
- Calendula 'Sherbet Fizz'
- Cerinthe major purpurascens (honeywort)
