How are these different from the bunches?
Bunches are tied and ready to stand in a vase. These are the loose components — single stems, seed pods and bags of petals — meant to be pulled apart, wired, glued or scattered. Buy bunches to display, buy these to make something.
Is the petal confetti biodegradable?
Yes. It is nothing but dried petals, so it breaks down where it falls. Some venues still refuse confetti of any kind, so it is worth asking before you order for a wedding.
How much confetti will I need?
Most people plan on a handful each and order a little over — the photographs are better when nobody is rationing. Petal size varies a great deal between mixes, so go by the weight on the listing rather than the look of the bag.
Will poppy heads shed seed indoors?
They can. The pods split as they dry and the seed rattles out through the vents at the top. Turn them upside down and shake them over a bin before they come in, and keep them off a shelf above anything you would rather not vacuum.
