Dried Acroclinium Bunch (Paper Daisies)

If standard strawflowers are the bold, chunky cousins, Acroclinium (or Paper Daisies) are the refined, elegant siblings. These stunning blooms feel crisp like tissue paper to the touch and retain a beautiful, soft variation of candy-pinks, pure whites, and deep rose tones.

With their distinct yellow or black centres and wiry stems, they bring an instant "cottage garden" feel to dried arrangements. They are incredibly popular for crafting, particularly resin art, because their flat faces and vivid colours stay preserved perfectly inside the resin.

🌿 About these Stems

These are the air-dried stems of Rhodanthe chlorocephala (formerly known as Acroclinium or Helipterum).

The Texture: Unlike soft grasses, these are "Everlasting" flowers. The petals are naturally dry and papery even when growing in the field. This means they dry with zero loss of shape or structure.

🎨 Styling Ideas

Acroclinium is versatile enough for vases or detailed craft work:

  • Resin Art: The heads can be snipped off and embedded in resin for coasters, jewellery, or paperweights. They hold their shape perfectly under the liquid.
  • The Vintage Jug: Place a standalone bunch in a white enamel jug or glass milk bottle for a nostalgic, farmhouse kitchen look.
  • Wreath Details: Their star-like shape makes them excellent "focal points" in mixed wreaths, sitting prettily amongst moss and foliage.

Perfect Dried Companions

Create a cottage-garden look by pairing Paper Daisies with other everlasting blooms:

  • 💜 Dried Statice (Sea Lavender): The Texture Contrast. The ruffled texture of Statice contrasts beautifully with the smooth, flat petals of the Acroclinium.
  • 🧡 Strawflowers (Helichrysum): The Big Sister. Pair the delicate Paper Daisies with the larger, chunkier heads of standard Strawflowers for a display full of different shapes and sizes.

⚠️ Handle with Care
The stems of Acroclinium are very thin and wiry. While the flower heads are robust, the necks can be brittle. Handle them gently when separating the bunch.

🌿 Care & display tips
Keep your dried flowers out of direct sunlight and away from damp — both will fade and soften the stems over time. No water needed. Arrange loosely in a vase or tie with twine for a hanging display. Handle gently as dried stems can be brittle.
💐 Using in arrangements
Dried flowers work beautifully with other dried stems, pampas grass, and seed heads. If using in a wreath or floral foam, wire the stems first for extra security. For wedding work, we recommend ordering a little extra to allow for any breakage during handling.
📬 Delivery & packaging
Dried flowers are packed carefully in a rigid box to protect the stems in transit. Dispatched within 2–3 working days. All packaging is compostable or recyclable. Free delivery on orders over £30.
