Damson & Rose Scented Candle
'Damson & Rose' is a decadent, fruity-floral fragrance that captures the feeling of an overgrown English walled garden. It blends the juicy, tart sweetness of ripe Damson plums with the powdery elegance of dark velvet roses.
This isn't a sugary sweet scent; it is deep, "jammy," and sophisticated, grounded by a base of patchouli and musk. Enhanced by a sustainable FSC-Certified Wooden Wick, the gentle crackle of the flame adds a cosy, rustic element, making this the perfect candle for transitioning from late summer into the golden days of autumn.
Damson Plum, Raspberry & Lemon
The "head notes" provide a juicy, tart first hit that is instantly mouth-watering and refreshing.
Velvet Rose, Jasmine & Cassis
The "heart notes" bring a rich, powdery floral elegance that softens the initial fruitiness, creating a sophisticated middle layer.
Patchouli, Musk & Amber
The "dry down" is warm, earthy, and opulent—providing a grounding finish that lingers long after the candle is extinguished.
The first burn
Light across the full width of the wick and burn for 2–3 hours until the melt pool reaches the glass edges. This prevents tunnelling — the most common cause of wasted wax on the sides of the jar.
Trim before every burn
Ensure the wick is no longer than 3–4mm before re-lighting. Once the wax is cold, pinch or snap off the charred wood. A short, clean wick gives the best crackle and prevents soot.
Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place on a heat-resistant surface, keep away from draughts and never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Damson & Rose is our favourite scent for that "in-between" season. It bridges the gap between the floral sweetness of summer and the spicy warmth of winter perfectly.
