About this product

Six designs from the water's edge and the hedge bottom: a pond scene, a koi, koi circling a lotus flower, a dragonfly over a pond, a heron standing in the reeds, and a hedgehog among autumn leaves.

The koi and pond designs look most at home on a wall or fence near water, where the reeds and reflections carry the scene on. The round designs make a good focal point at the end of a path or on a bare gable end. If you keep fish, the heron may raise a smile, or an eyebrow.

Every design is cut from flat mild steel and arrives raw. Give it a few weeks of rain and it turns from grey to a rich rust brown, which is how it's meant to look, and it needs no treatment after that. Rust can mark light-coloured walls or paving below while it weathers in. Sizes are measured across the longest side of the design. Fixings aren't included, so pick screws and plugs to suit your wall or fence. Designed in Norfolk by LV Bespoke, made in Britain.

Care and use

  • Arrives silvery grey and weathers to a warm rust brown within a few weeks outdoors
  • No painting or sealing needed the rust patina is the finish
  • Fix through the pre-drilled holes with exterior-grade screws suited to your wall, fence or shed
  • Use wall plugs in brick or render; the 750mm size weighs around 4.5kg
  • Rust can run onto pale render, stone or paving while it weathers in fit small spacers behind the piece if that matters
  • A clear wax on arrival slows the rusting if you want to keep it grey for longer
