Why we grow it

  • A working box of mixed dried material, not a finished arrangement
  • Seed heads, grasses, focal flowers and fillers together
  • Everything grown and dried at Salle Moor Hall
  • Enough to make a wreath, a jar arrangement or several posies
  • Contents vary with the season and what has cropped well
  • Plastic-free, compostable packaging throughout

About this bunch

A box of heads, seed pods and short stems for close-up work, where a long bouquet stem is no use to you. Around 50 pieces, mostly about 10cm, and every box is different because it is put together from whatever the season has produced. These are heads and short stems, not long stems for arranging.

What turns up varies. Strawflower heads in pinks and whites, papery statice clusters in purple, pink, yellow, blue or white, small poppy heads and nigella pods for structure, and short tufts of bunny tails or quaking grass for softness. It is a lucky dip, but it is drawn from the same stock as the bunches rather than being the sweepings.

The low moisture content is what makes dried flowers behave in resin, so these cast well into coasters, jewellery and paperweights. They also glue neatly onto gift tags and cards, weave into moss or vine wreaths, and sit on top of a soy candle provided you keep them clear of the wick. Grown and air-dried here in Norfolk. Sold for decorative use only. These are not food grade and should not go anywhere near a cake or anything else you intend to eat.

Dried flower box smelt amazing

Once I opened the box a gorgeous smell of lavender !
Lots of gorgeous delicate flowers and a good selection. One tiny little thing I would say is they were all jumbled up and a bit difficult to individually pick out. But all round well worth the money, and I’d buy again.
