What to Sow in July:

  • Biennials (Prime Time!): July is the ideal month to sow many classic Biennial Flower Seeds like Foxgloves (Digitalis), Honesty (Lunaria), Wallflowers (Erysimum), and Sweet William. Sowing them now gives them plenty of time to establish strong plants before winter, ready for a spectacular show next spring and summer.

  • Fast-Flowering Annuals: You can still direct sow some quick-growing hardy annuals like Calendula (Pot Marigold) or Nigella (Love-in-a-Mist) for a final burst of late-season colour.

  • Quick Herbs & Salads: Succession sow fast herbs like Coriander or salad leaves for continuous harvests into autumn.
