Description
Foxgloves always make me think of the illustrations in the Beatrix Potter books especially Jemima Puddleduck!
Tall spires of delicately coloured flowers all buzzing with bees and instantly giving a cottage garden feel to any flower patch.
Foxglove Alba is a beauty. Adding height and elegance to any border with its gorgeous white/cream flowers which seem to glow a little as dusk falls.
Foxgloves are biennials which means that the seeds are sown in late spring/early summer to flower the following year.
Plant Care Tips
Sow May - July thinly into a seed tray filled with moist compost or can be direct sown
If sown into seed trays, prick out & pot on as they grow
Transplant when large enough to handle into their final flowering position
Space 30cm apart
They like full sun or partial shade & free draining soil
Will flower the following spring/early summer
