About this variety

The cherry tomato that has been the British gardener's favourite for fifty years and shows no sign of being displaced. An RHS Award of Garden Merit, and recommended in more garden writing than almost any other tomato, for one straightforward reason: the flavour is exceptional. Sweet, intensely tomatoey, with enough acidity behind it to stop the sweetness cloying.

Fruits are proper cherry size, carried in long trusses of eight to twelve that ripen progressively along their length, so picking runs continuously from July to the frosts. A single well-grown plant will give you five kilos or more, which is a good deal more than most households eat fresh.

Open pollinated, so you can save your own seed. If you have only ever eaten supermarket cherry tomatoes and wondered whether home-grown is genuinely better, this is the variety that answers it.
