The heat is worth being straight about. Most sellers quote 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville units, but no lab test has been published, and many growers find it nearer a hot serrano. Expect a medium-hot chilli that varies from plant to plant. It is a big, sprawling baccatum that crops enormously once it gets going, so give it room, a long season and something to lean on.
