How to Grow Jay's Peach Ghost Scorpion from Seed
A chance find among ghost peppers and scorpions, selected over five seasons into soft peach, scorpion-tailed pods as good-looking as any chilli.
Jay Weaver did not set out to breed this. He spotted one odd pale pod growing among the ghost peppers and Trinidad Scorpions at Meadow View Farm in Pennsylvania, saved the seed, and spent about five seasons selecting it into something worth naming.
The pods ripen through cream and blush to a soft peach, heavily wrinkled and usually finished with a scorpion tail. The flavour arrives first, fruity and floral with a moment of sweetness, and then the heat lands.
