About this variety

A broad mixture of small-flowered violas covering the full range the species offers — cream, primrose, apricot, mauve, deep violet and every combination of them. No two seedlings come out the same, which is either the appeal or the problem depending on how tidy you like things.

The flowers are small but produced in enormous quantity, so a single plant covers itself. They are edible too, and hold their shape well pressed into ice cubes or set on a cake.

Sow in summer for spring flowering, or in spring for summer. They tolerate shade better than almost any other bedding-scale plant, and a trough of them will run from March to June if kept deadheaded.
