About this product
Full description
Every gardener knows the small, faintly ridiculous ritual: setting down your gloves to do "just one quick thing," and then spending the next ten minutes hunting for them through the borders, under the rhubarb leaves, on top of the compost bin. FloraBrite gloves are Burgon & Ball's cheerful answer to exactly that problem — "tools you'll never lose." In vivid fluorescent pink or yellow, they stand out brilliantly against any background of soil and greenery, and a reflective logo even glows under torchlight, so they're findable at dusk as well as midday.
They were developed in collaboration with the Royal Horticultural Society, prompted by gardeners' requests at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and carry the RHS endorsement. The high visibility makes them genuinely helpful for visually impaired gardeners, as well as for anyone who loves a bit of neon brightness — and, of course, for the absorbed gardener who drifts from one job to the next leaving a trail of kit behind them.
For all the cheerful colour, they're a properly capable working glove. Comfortable stretch-fit cotton with nitrile-coated fingers and palm gives a secure grip and keeps dirt and moisture out, while staying flexible enough to keep your dexterity for fiddly jobs like handling seedlings and sowing. They're light, breathable, and easy to wear all session.
From Burgon & Ball, the Sheffield toolmaker who've been making garden tools since 1730. Supplied to us through our partners at AllotMate, who curate proper, well-made tools and equipment for gardeners and allotmenteers who'd rather buy once.
Choosing your pair
FloraBrite gloves come in two bright colours and two unisex sizes:
- Colour: fluorescent pink or yellow — both highly visible against soil and foliage, so it's purely a matter of which brightness you prefer
- Size: S/M or M/L — unisex sizing, with the comfortable stretch fit giving good give within each size
Choose your colour and size from the options above.

About Burgon & Ball
Burgon & Ball have been making garden tools in Sheffield since 1730, drawing on the city's centuries-old expertise in steel and craft, and today they hold the official Royal Horticultural Society endorsement across much of their range. The FloraBrite collection is a good example of their thoughtful approach — a simple, genuinely useful idea, developed with the RHS and made properly. We're proud to stock it.
A small thought: the best garden tools solve a real problem so neatly you wonder why they weren't always made that way. A glove you can actually find is exactly that — no more rummaging through the compost heap, no more "I had them a minute ago." Just a bright, cheerful pair waiting exactly where you left them.
