The First Burn: Light the wooden wick across its entire width. Allow the wax to melt all the way to the glass edges (usually 2-3 hours). This prevents "tunnelling" and ensures you use every gram of your hand-poured wax.

The "Pinch": Before re-lighting, the wick must be kept short (approx. 3-4mm). Once the candle is cool, simply pinch off the black charred wood from the top of the wick. A short, clean wick provides the best crackle and prevents a smoky flame.

Safety: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place on a heat-resistant surface and keep away from draughts, children, and pets.
