Tomato Sungold F1

Widely reckoned the sweetest tomato you can grow. 'Sungold' carries long trusses of small tangerine-orange cherries with a flavour closer to a tropical fruit than a tomato, and it is the variety most often named when growers are asked for their single favourite.

It crops early and does not stop, producing right through until the frosts. Under glass it will run to well over two metres given the room, though it is perfectly happy against a sunny wall outdoors in a decent summer.

An F1 hybrid, so seed saved from your own fruit will not come true. The skins are thin, which is part of why it tastes so good and also why it splits if watering is erratic. Keep it evenly moist.
