Laurentia Avante Garde Pink F1
Isotoma axillaris 'Avante Garde Pink' F1
Masses of small starry pink flowers over fine ferny foliage, flowering from June until the frosts.
About this variety
Laurentia carries clouds of small starry flowers on fine, almost ferny foliage, and keeps producing them from early summer until the frosts without any deadheading at all. 'Avante Garde Pink' is a clear soft pink, held just clear of the leaves so the plant reads as a haze of colour rather than individual blooms.
It is lightly scented, most noticeably in the evening, and it is one of the better annuals for a pot by a door or a seat where you will catch it.
Half-hardy, so raise it under cover and plant out at the end of May. An F1 hybrid, so saved seed will not come true. Beyond that it asks for very little — sun, drainage and the occasional water.
