A wonderful type that produces enormous, magnificent, flat-petalled, semi-double flowers of 12-15cm in diameter on robust plants.. A combination of colours includes cherry, orange, pink, purple, scarlet, and yellow.

Quantity of Seeds 50 Seeds
Type Half-Hardy Annual
Genus Zinnia elegans
Sow Seeds

Sow from late April under cover and keep at about 20 degrees until germinated or sow directly in June.  Zinnias hate root disturbance so don’t let them get too big before you transplant them.  Transplant into pots and grow on in cooler conditions.

Plant Out

Acclimatise before planting out when all risk of frost has passed.  They are sun worshippers….they absolutely have to have full sun, don’t even think of planting them in the shade!  Water regularly but do not overwater.  Keep deadheading/cutting to encourage more flowers.

Flowers

July-September
