If you want to add instant structure, height, and drama to an arrangement, these Allium seed heads are the answer. We have harvested and dried the spectacular 'Purple Sensation' variety to preserve its incredible skeletal form.
These large, spherical "starburst" heads look like frozen fireworks. While they bore purple flowers in the garden, they dry to a beautiful, natural shade of pale straw-gold. They are incredibly durable and long-lasting, perfect for adding a rustic, architectural touch to winter vases or for spraying with metallic paint for festive displays.

🌿 About these Stems
These are the air-dried seed heads of Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation'.
The "Skeleton": Once the purple flowers fade, the plant is left with a rigid, spherical frame of radiating stems. We harvest them at this stage to capture that striking geometric shape.
🎨 Styling Ideas
These architectural stems are bold enough to stand alone:
- The Minimalist Vase: Place 3-5 stems in a narrow-necked ceramic vase or glass bottle. The geometric shapes create a stunning, modern silhouette against a plain wall.
- Christmas Sparkle: The skeletal seed heads take metallic spray paint beautifully. Spray them gold, silver, or copper for a festive table centrepiece that lasts for years.

Create a textural masterpiece by pairing Alliums with softer elements:
- 🌾 Dried Feather Grass (Stipa): The Soft Contrast. The solid, hard shapes of Allium heads look incredible rising out of a cloud of soft, wispy Feather Grass.
