The Jamaican Hot Red is a compact chilli plant that grows up to 80 cm tall and produces an abundance of peppers. Similar to Scotch Bonnet chilies, its pods measure approximately 5 cm long and 3.5 cm wide, with a distinct mushroom-like shape.

As they ripen, the peppers transition from green to vibrant red and pack an intense heat. Known for their fruity flavour, they are widely used in Caribbean cuisine, particularly in the making of hot sauces.
