Drying is easy if you follow the golden rules:

1. Timing is Key:
For Strawflowers and Statice, pick when the buds are half-open. They continue to open as they dry. If you pick them fully open, they may turn inside out or brown.

2. Prep the Stems:
Strip off all the leaves (foliage doesn't dry well and can go mouldy). This leaves you with clean, professional stems.

3. The Dark Room:
Tie small bunches with an elastic band (stems shrink as they dry!) and hang them upside down in a warm, dark, dry place (like an airing cupboard or shed). Darkness prevents the colours from fading.
