Columbine Blue is a large upright variety of Aquilegia.

Pretty light green foliage with white petals and beautiful powder-blue spurs. 

Deadhead regularly if you don't want them to self-seed.

Germination can be erratic and slow. Sometimes a period of cold stratification is needed, so it can help to put the seeds in the fridge for a week or so before sowing.

Sow Seeds

February-May undercover and keep at 15-20 degrees in light conditions.  Sow onto the surface of the seed compost and cover with a thin layer of vermiculite.  Germination can be erratic and slow. Sometimes a period of cold stratification is needed before sowing. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow on. Or can be treated as a biennial and sown June-July
