The Lemon Drop chilli which is also known by other names, such as Hot Lemon, Aji Lemon or Limon, is a cone-shaped lemon coloured Capsicum baccatum variety. They are known for their wiry stems and green petals - grow upright to 2m, with plenty of branches and relatively narrow dark green leaves.
The Lemon drop pepper is a hot (Though not overbearing), sweet, citrusy chilli with a fruity, fizzy, lemony flavour. It is used throughout Peru as a dried condiment and ground seasoning.

This variety of chilli is ideal for containers in outdoor or indoor spaces, benefitting from the addition of a stake for support. Lemon Drop Chilli is packed with flavour.
Cooking & Eating
Create salsa with lemon, mango and shallot; jelly or marmalade with Lemon Drop chilli; or Peruvian yellow pepper paste. Incorporate into salads, salad dressings and stir-fries. Sprinkle into fish-based butter. Enjoy dried or fermented.
