The Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw Chilli is a crossbreed developed by Finish grower Jukka Kilpinen. He wished to breed a chilli even hotter than the Carolina Reaper and to do this he crossed the Moruga Scorpion chilli with another unknown super hot chilli.
After a few years of selectively breeding and stabilising, using the hottest of the chillies each year, the Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw was born. It is bright red, and shiny with contorted skin. When cut open, this thin-fleshed pod reveals an oily inner lining which oozes capsaicin (the natural chilli oil)
Many connoisseurs of hot peppers struggle to determine which of the Carolina Reaper or Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw is actually hotter, due to the lack of available Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) measurements for the latter. The taste of Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw pods is akin to that of a Bhut Jolokia, albeit with an added sweetness and fruitiness.

I already have baby craspedia seedlings and can't wait to see them grow. I bought a couple of craspedia plants last year and they produce the most lovely yellow pom poms. They look great dotted in three's around the house and I also use them when I make dried wreaths.
