Poppy (Ladybird) seeds

Large, red flowers with black splotches on the petals, hence the name Ladybird.

Finely rake a patch of warm, moist, soil (they do not mind poor soil) and scatter the seeds over in April/May or Sept/Oct, then cover the seeds lightly.

If using as a cut flower, sear the end of the stems in boiling water for 20 seconds before placing in a vase of water to prolong their vase life.
