The Anaheim Chili, a mildly-spicy variety, is characterised by its shiny, dark-lime green skin and elongated shape. It was first grown by Emilio C. Ortega in 1894. Through a fire-roasting process, Emilio preserved the peppers by stripping away their skins, followed by deseeding and rinsing prior to canning. Ortega, his business, currently produces canned Anaheim chillies alongside other products.
The Anaheim Chilli's outer skin can be tough when unripe and must be peeled prior to roasting, either from an open flame, a grill, or a stovetop griddle. Once charred, the skin can be easily removed once cooled.

Growing Info
Anaheim Chilli seeds should be sown as early as possible during spring to capitalise on the plant's rapid growth rate, ideally in an area with ample warmth and sunlight. Reaching a maximum height of nearly 1 meter, Anaheim Chilli is a large and bushy plant that necessitates rich soil to ensure optimal production of sizeable pods. Keeping the soil moist is necessary to ensure an abundance of large pods. Though well-suited for potted culture, support may be required due to its substantial stature. Pods are usually ready to pick from about 80 days after sowing.

I already have baby craspedia seedlings and can't wait to see them grow. I bought a couple of craspedia plants last year and they produce the most lovely yellow pom poms. They look great dotted in three's around the house and I also use them when I make dried wreaths.
