When the peppers reach full maturity, the peel has a distinctive and appealing yellowish-greenish tint, which is reminiscent of the colour of lemon peel. Because of its crisp texture and highly sweet flavour, its flesh is excellent when eaten raw as a nutritious snack and when added to sandwiches and salads.

Pod Description These peppers really have to be seen to be believed, they are that large, however, they retain a lovely sweet taste and aroma, highly versatile for many dishes. Due to their size, they are perfect for stuffing.
Sow into free-draining damp compost and cover lightly, do not exclude light and keep warm (20-25℃). When large enough to handle, transplant into pots and keep warm. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise first and then plant out into containers in a sunny, sheltered spot.

Seeds sown directly outdoors last summer, all germinated and formed lovely silvery rosettes, and half have now also thrown up flower stalks and are producing stunning vivid pink flowers. I’m hopeful that the other half may do the same next summer. Great seeds, well packaged, excellent instructions - many thanks!
I've never grown Hesperis (sweet rocket) until this year, but Melanie's seeds were so successful and prolific, that I now have beautiful flowers wafting their amazing aroma around my garden...plus our honey bees are so happy 🐝 In fact lots of pollinators are visiting!
