Corncockle Seeds (Agrostemma githago)

Bring a touch of wildflower grace to your garden with Corncockle (Agrostemma githago). This classic hardy annual produces tall, slender stems topped with beautiful, silky, magenta-pink flowers that dance in the breeze. It's incredibly easy to grow from seed and perfect for creating a romantic, naturalistic look in borders or a mini-meadow. It's also a wonderful, airy cut flower.

Sow Seeds

Sow the seeds directly into the soil in September or April.  Grow them close together and through some netting for support.  Or sow into modules, pot on as required and overwinter in an unheated greenhouse or polytunnel.  Germination is approximately 14 days.

Plant Out Can grow to about 1m and will benefit from growing through the netting for support.  Likes full sun.
